I was about to give the Friday 10th Jan 8:30pm talk on afocal and smartphone imaging, so the penumbral eclipse earlier that evening was a good opportunity to demonstrate doing it. Smartphone: Samsung Galaxy S7 in a Celestron NexYZ smartphone adapter onto a 20mm eyepiece in a basic Celestron Travelscope 70 (not on its original tripod!).
