Imaging on a Coronado PST can be problematic unless you can get the CCD close enough to find focus. A barlow is almost compulsory, but then you can't get a full disk without mosaicing. I didn't want to cut, file or otherwise damage the nosepiece on my nice new DMK41, so today the postman brought a new short nosepiece which worked a treat. Unfortunately the clouds rolled in after I ran disk avi sequences, and I didn't have a chance to capture the proms using a different exposure. This image is about 500 frames of 2600 processed in Registax and Gimp. |
