Rho Ophiuchus • by Martin-Devon
This is just a "sighter" - the actual data is really bad, very noisy and weak. This is part of the Rho Ophiuchus nebula, which is HUGE, and this image is probably just 10% of it. It has lots of natural colours in though, and I wanted to get a peek. It's very low down though in the South, skimming the horizon, and last night it was very murky and hazy down there - the raw data looked awful, I'm surprised I got anything out of it to be honest. Just 6x10min Lum plus 3x10min each for RGB, dark calibrated, no flats this time. Rho Opiuchus itself is the 3 bright stars that make up the triangle, top right of the image. |
