SH2-290 • by Martin-Devon
Sharpless 290 planetary emission nebula in constellation of Cancer - 2000 light years away (12,000 trillion miles), very big, and very faint. Could see virtually nothing on single 10 min H-alpha subs! Collected data over 2 nights and this is summation of 26 x 10 min H-alpha and 26 x 10 min OIII. Processed as HOO image - stretched to kingdom-come! |
